In a Nutshell: This petite apple head Chihuahua traveled all the way from a Texas shelter and is ready to find a warm, loving lap to call her own. At just 6 lbs, she's a tiny girl and is like having a little reindeer in your house.
Kendra is 3-4 years old and getting used to the routine and comfort of her foster home. She is very quiet and rarely barks. She is patient, often cold, and is sweet and cuddly as they come. She does not like being contained in a crate or pen so be ready for this little one to be your constant shadow.
A little about Kendra:
House trained: Yes
Crate trained: No, adopters will need to be comfortable not using a crate.
Barking: None. She is very quiet and only barks a couple of times a day when she is worried.
Leash walking: Still learning, but improving
Playful: Nope, prefers lap time to toys
Eating & drinking: Good appetite
Cuddly: Absolutely yes
Kids: Calm respectful teenagers and older only. She is tiny/fragile, and nervous around the sudden unpredictable movements of young children.
Loyal: Will follow you around the house and wants to be by her person.
Cats & Dogs: Unsure (currently fostered in a pet free home). She is uninterested in the backyard chickens.
Mouthy: No, she has some dental issues that need to be fixed and is hesitant to use her mouth to play.
Shedding: Minimal, she doesn't have very much hair.
Allergic reactions from the foster humans: None so far
Knows basic commands: Nope!
Kendra would thrive in a calm home where someone can train her with love and consistency. She is very sensitive to the cold and rain, so a warm home, sweaters, and a cozy pace for her are a must!
