Ladybird

Age: 1 yr
Weight: 15 lbs
Sex: Female
Breed Stated on Paperwork: Chihuahua mix
Dogs: No
Cats: No
Kids: Might do better with older/quieter/dog-savvy kids or prefer to be in an adults-only home.
In a Nutshell: Notes from one of her former fosters - “Birdie is the best cuddler and wants to play hard too. Soft, sweet, a real cute charmer with the dreamiest eyes, she’d love to be at your side all the time if you’re up for it. Her puppy energy is still with her; she wakes up frisky and is always down for zoomies and parkour in the yard. Her favorite toys are found natural objects! Sticks, walnuts, leaves and grubs(!) delight her and she’ll tempt you into a bouncy game of keep-away. She enjoys neighborhood sniffing walks on a mostly loose leash.”
Ladybird likes to be around her people and will appreciate adopters who are home often. She has lived with other dogs in past, but seems to prefer to be the one and only. Similarly, she has lived with cats in past and was said to do well, but she’s also had some big reactions to neighborhood cats lately so we’re guessing she might need to be the only animal at home. She’s a sweet and sensitive soul and it sounds like shared walls and/or a noisy/busy neighborhood might be tough for her. Her current foster describes her as “sweet, affectionate, clever, funny, silly, soft and cuddly, seems to have some parkour skills. SO CUTE.”
