Kids: Reticent around kids, may prefer a low-energy adults-only home.

In a Nutshell: Mack’s foster says he is a “joy to have around”. For an older gentleman with some vision impairment (and possible hearing loss - our vet is gonna check it out!), he is pretty well-adjusted. His foster works from home and Mack happily snoozes next to her all day.

He totally ignores the dog in his foster home and is great ignoring other dogs on walks, too. He has liked all adults he has met so far, but the unpredictability of kiddos can make him a little wary of them. He would probably prefer to be in a low-energy home with adults who don’t take him by surprise.

Mack loves to sit on a lap, but is equally happy in a bed or on the couch next to you. As an older dude, he needs some help getting on and off the furniture. He loves to go for walks, rides well in the car, and seems to enjoy outings.

Mack came in to the sending shelter severely matted and had to have a shave down. His fur is starting to grow back and he’s getting baths and skin mousse applications to help with that, but it does make him look a little goofy right now :)
